BUILDING BUSINESS IN CAMBODIA’S HVAC INDUSTRY

CIVAR’17 – Cambodia’s No.1 International Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Exhibition will return for its 5th Edition at the Diamond Island Exhibition Centre from 7-9 September 2017 to provide a platform of excellent opportunities to businesses involved in the construction and building industry as well as stimulating economic activities for the industry’s sub-sectors such as the ventilation, air-con and refrigeration businesses.

The Cambodian economy is expected to sustain a high growth trajectory, registering 7.1% in 2017 and 2018. As one of the economies experiencing the fastest growth in the region, the good news is further boosted with number of construction projects approved by Cambodia’s Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning & Construction which has increased substantially in overall value, according to figures from a report released in January 2017. While the number of projects was up by 331 to a total of 2,636 last year, the value of investment more than doubled from $3.3 billion in 2015 to $8.5 billion in 2016.

The approved construction projects that have been earmarked include condominiums, residential units, commercial buildings, shopping malls and hotels, with investment mainly coming from China, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and Britain. This will benefit related sub-sectors such as M&E equipment and services in particular in air-conditioning and ventilation systems. At the same time, refrigeration systems are also enjoying strong demand as the number of cold rooms and ice manufacturing facilities to support the food production and processing industry.

CIVAR ’17 – Cambodia’s No.1 International Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Exhibition & Conference, will be held at the prestigious Diamond Island Convention & Exhibition Center from 7-9 September 2017 to harness these business opportunities. Held concurrently with CamBuild’17, this event is expected to bring together over 8,000 trade buyers and decision makers representing M & E Engineers, building consultants, contractors, architects, developers, maintenance managers, manufacturers, facilities managers & distributors/retailers.
